Transmitter Operation
The transceiver module receives 10 channels of 10Gbps electrical data , which are
processed by a 10 channel Clock Data Recovery (CDR) IC that reshapes and reduces
the jitter of each electrical signal. Subsequently , a VCSEL laser driver I C converts each
channel of the 10 electrical signals to optical signal from one of the 10 VCSEL lasers .
All of 10 optical signals are coupled to the MPO connector.
Receiver Operation
The receiver section receives optical input of 100 Gbp s parallel signal into 10 channel
10Gbp s optical signals . Each optical signal is converted to electrical signal by one
PIN/TIA. All of the 10 electrical signals are feed to another CDR IC that provides
limiting amplification, and reshapes and retimes each electrical signal as one of the
1 0 output channels.
